Book week

Lots of exciting things are happening for us during book week. The whole week we have been learning how to be good actors and how to act when we are performing a play. We learned that we have to use facial expression, voice expression as well as our body to show the actions. We learned how to reflect on our practises and then try to make the next practise better. We also learned how to collaborate and treat each other nicely when we are doing a play.

Gardening again

Room 1 got so inspired by their Inquiry on how to save our Silver Beet that they decided to do something with the garden beside Room 1. Over the past couple of week we've been loosening the soil and planning our garden. This Friday we will be planting in our new Garden. We created a name for our garden. We are calling it Our Happy Garden - Nga Mara Harikou.

Saving our Silver beet

Room 1 had a problem. Our Silver Beet was dying. We decided to start with an Inquiry. Our big question was - What do we need to do to save our silver beet? We did some research during reading time. We used the internet for our research. Then we came up with a plan. We had to treat our soil, replant our silver beet and then make sure we give it enough water and care. Mr Robinson came in on Friday to tell us how to treat our soil and he helped us to replant our silver beet. We learned so much.
