Stop, look and listen

This week is travel week. We're looking at ways to travel to school in an environmentally friendly way. We identified that biking, walking and scootering are most friendly to our environment. Today Constable Glenys came to talk to use about the good things about walking to school. She also explained some ways to stay safe when you are walking. She helped us to identify some parts of the road. We learned a poem with her called Stop, look and listen. The Room 1 students acted it out and wanted to share it with everyone. Enjoy our poem

How to make a vegetable hedgehog.

First I grabbed a potato. I really wanted to eat it, but it was not cooked. Then I got toothpicks. They are spickey. Next I put some corrots in but that wasn't enough. Last I made a nose with a raison and a carrot. At the end I made legs. I felt really proud of myself.
