Writing in Room 1

This week Room 1 has learned to revise and edit their writing. We learned that when you revise your writing you need to re-read to make sure your story make sense, you need to make sure that you have included everything from the Success Criteria and you can add more interesting words. When you edit you fix your spelling mistakes and add capital letters and full stops.

Room 1 has run the 100m Final at the Olympics and won

Room 1 has learned about the Olympic games. We decided that we are going to run the 100m Final in the Olympics. Look at how we are all winning the 100m Olympic Champ "Bolt". We described how it will feel when we run a 100m final. We are going to share our writing during celebration.

Researching

Room 1 is currently busy with an Inquiry on how to make the silver beet grow. Our silver beet is dying. Today have done some research on the computer to find out information on how to help our silver beet.

Monkey's shoes

This term we read a big book every Thursday. We then do a ICT activity on the computer. Last week we read the book called Monkey's Shoes. We had to choose a wild animal and made speech bubble to show what the animal is saying to the monkey that climbs a tree in his shoes. Here are some of our work.

We are updating our writing wall more frequently this term. This term our big focus is persuasive writing. Come and have a look at our writing.
